BORING STUFF NOBODY CARES ABOUT

So, this is my second serious attempt at making a game and this is as far as I go for now.

I have worked on having solid player mechanics and I am quite happy with that, but if I wanted to make a full polished game, I should sacrifice a good amount of my sanity and this is not going to happen... for the moment...

I intend to do a vlog narrating my experience, I'll update this text when that happens.

ABOUT THE GAME

  • I developed the game in Godot with the Forward+ renderer. I switched to the Compability renderer at the last moment to make it available in the web and I noticed that it lost some minor (but cool) visual details.
  • Everything but the player humanoid model is made with Godot's built-in meshes. The humanoid model and its animations were obtained in Mesh2Motion, props to Quaternius.
  • There is no death implemented. In fact, if you die by falling, you will increase your max health.
  • You will see some texts for explaining the inputs. There are more controls that are not fully polished so you may trigger something unexpected if you start smashing your keyboard.
  • The challenge section is the most interesting part of this greybox test level. The second area can be a bit tricky due to the camera perspective, but it is definitely possible to complete. I'd like to know how many "deaths" you had until you reached the end... or gave up hahahaha

INPUTS

  • WASD -> Moving
  • SHIFT -> Sprinting
  • SPACE -> Jump / Double Jump
  • K -> Attack
  • J -> Dash
  • H -> Heal
  • Ctrl -> Crouch
  • L -> Aim
  • ESC -> Pause (it will not work in full screen in the browsers)
  • P -> Change camera projection (perspective - orthogonal)
